Nicole Ari Parker Joins Cop Drama ‘Chicago P.D.’ In Season 8
‘Empire’ star Nicole Ari Parker has joined the recurring cast of ‘Chicago P.D.’. She will be playing the role of Deputy Superintendent Samatha Miller. Her character is progressive and a supported and propagator of police reform. She takes her role quite seriously and neither wants nor will tolerate any breeches to the new reforms and protocols.
Miller will help Voight, played by Jason Beghe and Intelligence to accept, adjust, and adapt to the new guidelines. The new angle in the show has come after the unjust death of George Floyd. His death creates a national movement in America and all around the world regarding police brutality.
Detective Sergeant Hank Voight has been known and called out for his violent behavior with his criminals. He has, previously in the episodes, broken fingers of criminals with pliers and put gun into their mouths to scare and torture them. However, Miller has to ensure that such behavior is no more conducted and officers are hold responsible for it.
‘Chicago P.D.’ is the spinoff of ‘Chicago Fire’ and features Dt. Sergeant Voight and his team. Parker is also going to appear in ‘At That Age’ that has been postponed due to the pandemic. Apart from that, she was a regular cast member in ‘Empire’.
