Tommy DeVito Dies At 92 Due To Coronavirus

Tommy DeVito was the founding member of ‘The Four Seasons’. The band was featured in the ‘Jersey Boys’. The legendary artist dies at the age of 92 due to coronavirus.  He was born on June 19, 1928. He died in Las Vegas on Monday and his friend, Alfredo Nittoli was the first one to break the news officially on Facebook.

The band’s other two founding members, Bob Gaudio and Frankie Vallie also released their official statement’s on DeVito’s death. They wrote on the social media that they have to inform with great sadness that Tommy DeVito is no longer with us. They send their love and extend their support to Tommy’s loved ones during this difficult time.

They mentioned that Tommy will be missed by those who loved him. Bob, Frankie, Tommy, and Joe Long started the band together in 1960. The band was soon popularized for their beautiful harmonies and falsettoes. However, DeVito and Valli’s partnership goes even farther back than that. They had been performing since 1954. The band gave No 1. hits like ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’, ‘Rag Doll’, ‘Walk Like A Man’, and ‘Sherry’.

The band was honored in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990 and they won four Tony Awards.
