Netflix’s ‘The Witcher’ Season 2 Will Not Have The Same Cast As Season 1
The Witcher season 1 was a great success among the audience and now, The Witcher season 2 is one of the most anticipated shows of all time. The Witcher season 2 was one of the few shows that started filming early in August. However, the timing did not suit the cast members of the show.
Netflix had announced that The Witcher season 2 will come up with a new Witcher. Thue Ersted Rasmussen was roped in for the role. But, because of the timing and the ongoing pandemic, the actor dropped out from the role. But, Netflix was quite quick in finding its new Witcher.
Netflix has recently announced that Basil Eidenbenz will be playing the role of the new Witcher. Eidenbenz is best known for his role in ‘Victoria’. He played the character of Lohlein on the show. He also appears as a footman in ‘The Favourite’. It is no doubt that the new Witcher will be one of the biggest roles for the actor.
Rasmussen broke the news of his drop-out from the show. He explained on social media that ‘The Witcher’ season 2 was supposed to go into production in early 2020. However, due to the novel coronavrius, the dates were delayed. Due to other engagements of Rasmussen, he could not follow up with ‘The Witcher’ season 2.
